                                 A BILL


 
    To prohibit foreign assistance to countries that deny or delay 
  accepting aliens as described in section 243 of the Immigration and 
                            Nationality Act.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Deportation Compliance Act''.

SEC. 2. PROHIBITION ON FOREIGN ASSISTANCE TO CERTAIN COUNTRIES.

    No Federal funds may be made available to provide foreign 
assistance to any country--
            (1) with respect to which the Secretary of State has 
        exercised the authority of section 243(d) of the Immigration 
        and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1253(d); relating to 
        discontinuing granting visas to nationals of countries denying 
        or delaying accepting aliens) for a period of 180 days; and
            (2) as of the end of such period, that continues to deny or 
        unreasonably delay accepting aliens who are citizens, subjects, 
        nationals, or residents of that country, as described in 
        section 243(d) of such Act with respect to which the Secretary 
        exercised the authority of such section.
