Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. PROHIBITION ON REDUCTION, ELIMINATION, OR SUSPENSION OF FUNDING FOR LAND-GRANT COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES. (a) In General.--The Secretary of Agriculture, or any other Federal official, may not take any action to reduce, eliminate, or suspend funding for land-grant colleges and universities, unless such reduction, elimination, or suspension is specifically authorized by an Act of Congress. (b) Land-Grant Colleges and Universities Defined.--In this section, the term ``land-grant colleges and universities'' has the meaning given such term in section 1404 of the National Agricultural Research, Extension, and Teaching Policy Act of 1977 (7 U.S.C. 3103). <all>
