To authorize the President to seek to enter into negotiations with the 
Kingdom of Denmark to secure the acquisition of Greenland by the United 
                                States.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Make Greenland Great Again Act''.

SEC. 2. AUTHORIZATION TO ENTER INTO NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE KINGDOM OF 
              DENMARK.

    (a) In General.--Congress hereby authorizes the President, 
beginning at 12:01 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on January 20, 2025, to 
seek to enter into negotiations with the Kingdom of Denmark to secure 
the acquisition of Greenland by the United States.
    (b) Transmission of Agreement.--Not later than 5 calendar days 
after reaching an agreement with the Kingdom of Denmark relating to the 
acquisition of Greenland by the United States, the President shall 
transmit to the appropriate congressional committees the agreement, 
including all related materials and annexes.
    (c) Period of Review by Congress of Agreement.--
            (1) In general.--The period for congressional review for 
        any agreement described in subsection (a) shall be 60 calendar 
        days from the date on which the President transmits to the 
        appropriate Congressional committees the agreement for the 
        acquisition of Greenland from the Kingdom of Denmark.
            (2) Effective date.--If no joint resolution of disapproval 
        is enacted by Congress within the 60-calendar day period, the 
        agreement described in subsection (a) shall be in effect and 
        take the full force of law.
    (d) Appropriate Congressional Committees Defined.--In this section, 
the term ``appropriate congressional committees'' means--
            (1) the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the House of 
        Representatives; and
            (2) the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate.
