Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Service Member Housing Relief Act''. SECTION 1. TEMPORARY ADJUSTMENT TO A RATE OF THE BASIC ALLOWANCE FOR HOUSING FOR MEMBERS OF THE UNIFORMED SERVICES: LOWER THRESHOLD; PERMANENT AUTHORITY. Section 403(b)(8) of title 37, United States Code, is amended-- (1) in subparagraph (A), by striking ``20 percent'' and inserting ``15 percent''; and (2) by striking subparagraph (C). <all>
