Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``No Welfare for the Wealthy Act of 2025''. SEC. 2. AMENDMENT. Section 5(a) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 2014(a)) is amended to read as follows: ``No household shall be eligible to receive benefits pursuant to this section if it does not meet the income and resource criteria under subsections (c) and (g).''. SEC. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE; APPLICATION OF AMENDMENT. (a) Effective Date.--Except as provided in subsection (b), this Act and the amendment made by this Act shall take effect 1 year after the date of the enactment of this Act. (b) Application of Amendment.--The amendment made by this Act shall not apply with respect to certification periods that begin before the effective date of this Act. <all>
