A BILL
To require the Secretary of Defense to submit a report on foreign-made
small arms and light weapons, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Make American Guns Again Act of
2025'' or the ``MAGA Act''.
SEC. 2. REPORT ON FOREIGN-MADE HEAVY AND SMALL ARM WEAPONS.
(a) Study.--The Secretary of Defense shall conduct a study on the
prevalence of small arms and light weapons that are used by members of
the Armed Forces, and parts for such small arms and light weapons
that--
(1) were manufactured outside of the United States; or
(2) were manufactured in the United States by a subsidiary
of a foreign-owned entity (as determined by the Secretary).
(b) Report.--Not later than 180 days after the date of the
enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall submit to Congress and the
President a report on the study required by subsection (a) that
includes recommendations for procuring small arms and light weapons
that are wholly manufactured in the United States by entities that are
owned and controlled by individuals located in the United States.
(c) Small Arms and Light Weapons Defined.--The term ``small arms
and light weapons'' has the meaning given the term ``small arms/light
weapons'' in section 273.3 of title 32, Code of Federal Regulations.
