Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Rural Health Clinic Location Modernization Act of 2025''. SEC. 2. MAINTAINING STANDARDS FOR QUALIFICATION AS A RURAL HEALTH CLINIC UNDER THE MEDICARE PROGRAM. (a) In General.--Section 1861(aa)(2) of the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395x(aa)(2)) is amended, in the first sentence of the matter following subparagraph (K), by striking ``an urbanized area (as defined by the Bureau of the Census)'' and inserting ``an urban area (as defined by the Bureau of the Census) with a population of 50,000 or more''. (b) Effective Date.--The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply beginning January 1, 2027. <all>
