Ms. Boebert, and Mr. Smith of Nebraska) introduced the following bill; 
  which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in 
    addition to the Committee on Ways and Means, for a period to be 
subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration 
  of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee 
                               concerned

 To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to maintain standards 
 for qualification as a rural health clinic under the Medicare program.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Rural Health Clinic Location 
Modernization Act of 2025''.

SEC. 2. MAINTAINING STANDARDS FOR QUALIFICATION AS A RURAL HEALTH 
              CLINIC UNDER THE MEDICARE PROGRAM.

    (a) In General.--Section 1861(aa)(2) of the Social Security Act (42 
U.S.C. 1395x(aa)(2)) is amended, in the first sentence of the matter 
following subparagraph (K), by striking ``an urbanized area (as defined 
by the Bureau of the Census)'' and inserting ``an urban area (as 
defined by the Bureau of the Census) with a population of 50,000 or 
more''.
    (b) Effective Date.--The amendments made by subsection (a) shall 
apply beginning January 1, 2027.
