which was referred to the Committee on Energy and Commerce, and in
addition to the Committee on Ways and Means, for a period to be
subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration
of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee
concerned

A BILL
To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to remove certain
limitations on the delivery of behavioral health services at rural
health clinics under the Medicare program.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Rural Behavioral Health Improvement
Act of 2025''.
SEC. 2. EXCEPTION TO BEHAVIORAL HEALTH LIMITATION.
(a) In General.--Section 1861(aa)(2) of the Social Security Act (42
U.S.C. 1395x(aa)(2)) is amended, in the first sentence in the matter
following subparagraph (K), by striking ``or a facility which is
primarily for the care and treatment of mental diseases''.
(b) Effective Date.--The amendment made by subsection (a) shall
apply beginning January 1, 2027.
