                                 A BILL


 
    To deny pretrial release for certain individuals, and for other 
                               purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``No Bail Post-Jail Act''.

SEC. 2. DENIAL FOR PRETRIAL RELEASE FOR PRIOR INCARCERATION.

    Section 3142(e) of title 18, United States Code, is amended by 
adding at the end the following:
            ``(4) A person shall be considered to pose a danger to the 
        safety of the community and be ineligible for release if the 
        judicial officer finds that the person--
                    ``(A) is charged with a felony offense;
                    ``(B) is an adult or a juvenile charged as an adult 
                with regard to the offense; and
                    ``(C) has a prior felony conviction for a crime of 
                violence that resulted in the person serving not less 
                than 30 days in a State or Federal correctional 
                facility, not including any period of pretrial 
                detention without conviction.''.
