                                 A BILL

To provide for a limitation on application of State laws with regard to
                 law enforcement uniform requirements.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

This Act may be cited as the ``Uniform Standards Protection Act of
2025''.

SEC. 2. LIMITATION ON APPLICATION OF STATE LAWS WITH REGARD TO LAW
              ENFORCEMENT UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS.

Notwithstanding any provision of State law, no requirement may be
imposed under State law regarding the wearing of a uniform by any
Federal law enforcement officer. For purposes of this section, the term
``Federal law enforcement officer'' has the meaning given such term in
section 115(c) of title 18, United States Code, and includes any
officer or employee of the United States with responsibility for
enforcing the immigration laws (as such term is defined in section 101
of the Immigration and Nationality Act). In the case of any proceeding
against a Federal law enforcement officer pending as of the date of
enactment of this Act for a violation of any State law that is contrary
to this section, such proceeding may not continue thereafter.
