Ciscomani, and Mr. Schweikert) introduced the following bill; which was 
               referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

                                 A BILL


 
To amend the One Big Beautiful Bill Act to provide an exception to the 
parole fee for the parole of an alien for a sacred Tribal or religious 
  ceremony, cultural exchange, or celebration, and for other purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. PAROLE OF AN ALIEN FOR A SACRED TRIBAL OR RELIGIOUS 
              CEREMONY, CULTURAL EXCHANGE, OR CELEBRATION.

    Subsection (b) of Section 100004 of Public Law No. 119-21 is 
amended--
            (1) in paragraph (9), by striking ``or'' at the end;
            (2) in paragraph (10), by striking the period at the end 
        and inserting ``; or''; and
            (3) by adding at the end the following:
            ``(11)(A) during the 2-year period beginning on the date of 
        enactment of this paragraph, the Secretary of Homeland Security 
        determines that a significant public benefit will result from 
        the parole of an alien for a sacred Tribal or religious 
        ceremony, cultural exchange, or celebration, and--
                    ``(i) the Secretary conducts a preliminary criminal 
                background check of the alien prior to the alien's 
                arrival at a port of entry;
                    ``(ii) the alien presents a written request to the 
                Secretary to be paroled into the United States from a 
                federally recognized Indian Tribe for which the United 
                States holds land in trust at or near the Southwest 
                border;
                    ``(iii) the alien is enrolled in a cultural 
                participant program operated by a federally recognized 
                Indian Tribe for which the United States holds land in 
                trust at or near the Southwest border; and
                    ``(iv) the alien pays a fee, in lieu of the fee 
                required under subsection (c), in the amount of 
                $200.''.
