     Mr. Meeks (for himself and Mr. Mast) submitted the following 
   resolution; which was referred to the Committee on Foreign Affairs

                               RESOLUTION


 
Condemning the antisemitic shooting in Sydney, Australia, and all forms 
       of hatred and violence directed at religious communities.

Whereas, on December 14, 2025, a gunman opened fire during a Hanukkah 
        celebration in Sydney, Australia, resulting in loss of life, injuries, 
        and terror within the Jewish community;
Whereas this act of violence occurred during a sacred religious observance and 
        was intended to intimidate and target individuals because of their 
        Jewish identity; and
Whereas the United States stands with Australia, with the Jewish community 
        worldwide, and with all those affected by this heinous attack: Now, 
        therefore, be it
    Resolved, That the House of Representatives--
            (1) strongly condemns the antisemitic shooting in Sydney, 
        Australia, and all forms of hatred and violence directed at 
        religious communities;
            (2) expresses heartfelt condolences to the victims, their 
        families, and the people of Australia;
            (3) affirms the right of all people to worship freely and 
        safely;
            (4) reiterates the commitment of the United States to 
        combating antisemitism and terrorism in all its forms; and
            (5) calls on the Australian Government to take action to 
        address rising antisemitism and protect its Jewish community.
