 following bill; which was read twice and referred to the Committee on 
                  Agriculture, Nutrition, and Forestry

                                 A BILL


 
  To amend the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 to ensure that striking 
  workers and their households do not become ineligible for benefits 
  under the supplemental nutrition assistance program, and for other 
                               purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.

    This Act may be cited as the ``Food Secure Strikers Act of 2025''.

SEC. 2. ELIGIBILITY OF STRIKING WORKERS.

    Section 6(d) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 (7 U.S.C. 
2015(d)) is amended--
            (1) in paragraph (1)(D)--
                    (A) by striking clause (iv); and
                    (B) by redesignating clauses (v) and (vi) as 
                clauses (iv) and (v), respectively; and
            (2) in paragraph (3)--
                    (A) by striking ``participate in the supplemental 
                nutrition assistance program at any time that'' and 
                inserting ``be ineligible to participate in the 
                supplemental nutrition assistance program as a result 
                of'';
                    (B) by striking ``is on strike'' and inserting 
                ``being on strike''; and
                    (C) by striking ``: Provided, That'' and all that 
                follows through the period at the end and inserting a 
                period.
