Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE. This Act may be cited as the ``Endangered Species Recovery Act of 2025''. SEC. 2. RENAMING OF THE ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT OF 1973 TO THE ENDANGERED SPECIES RECOVERY ACT. (a) Renaming.--The first section of the Endangered Species Act of 1973 (16 U.S.C. 1531 note; Public Law 93-205) is amended by striking ``may be cited as the `Endangered Species Act of 1973''' and inserting ``may be cited as the `Endangered Species Recovery Act'''. (b) References.--Any reference in a law, map, regulation, document, paper, or other record of the United States to the ``Endangered Species Act of 1973'' shall be deemed to be a reference to the ``Endangered Species Recovery Act''. <all>
