A BILL
To require the Director of National Intelligence to develop a strategy
on intelligence coordination and sharing relating to critical and
emerging technologies.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. STRATEGY ON INTELLIGENCE COORDINATION AND SHARING RELATING
TO CRITICAL AND EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES.
(a) Definitions.--In this section, the terms ``congressional
intelligence committees'' and ``intelligence community'' have the
meanings given such terms in section 3 of the National Security Act of
1947 (50 U.S.C. 3003).
(b) Strategy.--Not later than 60 days after the date of the
enactment of this Act, the Director of National Intelligence shall
develop a strategy for--
(1) coordinating the collection, processing, analysis, and
dissemination of foreign intelligence relating to critical and
emerging technologies across the intelligence community; and
(2) the appropriate sharing of such intelligence with other
Federal departments and agencies with responsibilities for
regulation, innovation and research, science, public health,
export control and screenings, and Federal financial tools.
(c) Report.--Not later than 30 days after the development of the
strategy required by subsection (b), the Director shall submit to the
congressional intelligence committees a copy of the strategy.
