Amendment sought to delete language which required the Department of Defense to conduct a service life extension program or complete overhaul for the U.S.S. Kennedy at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard.
An amendment to strike sec. 203 of the bill. Sec. 203 provides that none of the funds available to the Department of Defense may be used for advance procurement of material and other efforts associated with the industrial availability of the U.S.S. Kennedy other than the service life extension program for the U.S.S. Kennedy at the Philadelphia Naval Shipyard.
