Description: H.Amdt. 1315 — 104th Congress (1995-1996)
Amendments provides $7 million for Federal drug testing initiatives to address the use of illegal drugs by defendants in the Federal criminal justice system; $5 million for firefighter and emergency services training grants in order to respond to terrorist attacks; and $6 million for court security in the Federal judiciary.
An amendment consisting of several amendments offered en bloc to do the following: 1. Increase by $16 million the funds appropriated in the bill for FBI salaries and expenses; 2. appropriate $7 million to the Department of Justice, for reimbersement of expenses associated with implementation of drug testing initiatives for persons arrested and convicted of Federal offenses; 3. provide $5 million in funds for local firefighter and emergency services training grants; 4. increase the funds appropriated in the bill for Court security by $6 million.
