Amendment sought to increase the Veterans Health Administration medical care appropriation by $12 million and reduce the appropriation for the Selective Service System by $16.9 million.
An amendment, printed as amendment No. 34 in the Congressional Record of July 26, 1995, to reduce the funds appropriated in the bill for the Selective Service System by $17 million, and to increase the funds appropriated for VA Medical Care commensurately. The intent of the amendment would be to end the peacetime draft registration program.
