Amendment sought to provide that in cases where a jury has imposed the death sentence or death resulting from witness intimidation, if a court has any doubt regarding the defendant's guilt, the court shall sentence the defendant to life imprisonment rather than death.


An amendment to add a new section which provides that in further consideration of death sentence recommendations, life imprisonment shall be imposed instead, if the court has any doubt that a defendent actually committed the offense.
