Description: H.Amdt. 211 — 107th Congress (2001-2002)
Amendment originally sought to add $10 million to the international disaster assistance fund for USAID's Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance to fund a disaster preparedness and prevention program in South Asia. \ As amended by the Kolbe substitute amendment (A010), the above addition was reduced to $1 million.
An amendment numbered 12 printed in the Congressional Record to increase the bill's $200 million appropriation for international disaster relief by $10 million. Offset for the increase comes in the form of reduction in the account for the Andean Counterdrug Initiative by $10 million.
