Rural Housing Rent Relief Act of 1988 - Amends the Housing Act of 1949 to deduct amounts paid as withholding (and self-employment) taxes and social security (and railroad retirement) contributions for purposes of rural housing income eligibility.
Limits such assisted rent to not more than comparable private rentals in the area, with a specified exception.
