of North Dakota, Mr. MINETA, and Mr. MACHTLEY) introduced the following bill;

A BILL
To extend for three years the period during which qualified mortgage bonds
and mortgage credit certificates may be issued.
  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States
  of America in Congress assembled, That (a) subparagraph (B) of paragraph
  (1) of section 143(a) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by
  striking `1989' each place it appears and inserting in lieu thereof `1992'.
  (b) Subsection (h) of section 25 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is
  amended by striking `1989' and inserting in lieu thereof `1992'.
