HR 5635 IH 102d CONGRESS 2d Session H. R. 5635 For the relief of Leona Benten. IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES July 21, 1992 Mr. SCHROEDER introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Ways and Means A BILL For the relief of Leona Benten. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. RETURN OF THE DRUG RU-486. Notwithstanding section 801 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. 381), the Secretary of the Treasury shall release to Leona Benten the dosage of the drug RU-486 that was seized from Leona Benten on July 1, 1992, by officials of the United States Customs Service at John F. Kennedy Airport in New York. Such dosage shall be released to Leona Benten for her personel use under the supervision of a physician of her choice.
