Mr. BENTSEN introduced the following bill; which was read twice and referred
to the Committee on Finance
A BILL
To suspend until January 1, 1995, the duty on
2-Phosphonobutane-1,2,4-tricarboxylic acid and sodium salts.
  Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
  States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. 2-PHOSPHONOBUTANE-1,2,4-TRICARBOXYLIC ACID AND SODIUM SALTS.
  Subchapter II of chapter 99 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the
  United States is amended by inserting in numerical sequence the following
  new heading:

SEC. 2. EFFECTIVE DATE.
  The amendment made by section 1 shall apply with respect to goods entered,
  or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after the 15th day
  after the date of the enactment of this Act.
