R. 2779 To amend chapter 42 of title 38, United States Code, with respect to the definition of disabled veteran. _______________________________________________________________________ IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES July 28, 1993 Mr. Montgomery (by request) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Veterans' Affairs _______________________________________________________________________ A BILL To amend chapter 42 of title 38, United States Code, with respect to the definition of disabled veteran. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. DEFINITION. Paragraph (3) of section 4211 of title 38, United States Code, is amended to read as follows: ``(3) The term `disabled veteran' means any veteran who has a compensable service-connected disability under laws administered by the Department of Veterans Affairs or whose discharge or release from active duty was for a disability incurred or aggravated in the line of duty.''. <all>
