   To provide for the transfer of the Naval Hospital located at the 
 Orlando Naval Training Center, Florida, to the Department of Veterans 
 Affairs for use as an expanded ambulatory care center, a nursing home 
         complex, and a facility for related medical purposes.

Ms. Brown of Florida introduced the following bill; which was referred 
   jointly to the Committees on Armed Services and Veterans' Affairs

                                 A BILL


 
   To provide for the transfer of the Naval Hospital located at the 
 Orlando Naval Training Center, Florida, to the Department of Veterans 
 Affairs for use as an expanded ambulatory care center, a nursing home 
         complex, and a facility for related medical purposes.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. LAND TRANSFER, ORLANDO NAVAL HOSPITAL, FLORIDA.

    (a) Transfer Required.--The Secretary of the Navy shall transfer 
the Orlando Naval Hospital described in subsection (b), including all 
buildings and improvements thereon, from the jurisdiction and control 
of the Department of the Navy to the jurisdiction and control of the 
Department of Veterans Affairs. The transfer required by this section 
shall be made without compensation or reimbursement.
    (b) Description of Land.--The real property referred to in 
subsection (a) is a tract of real property consisting of the Orlando 
Naval Hospital and its supporting functions, which occupy approximately 
110 acres in the City of Orlando, Florida, on the northeast corner of 
the Naval Training Center Campus, just south of Winter Park, Florida.
    (c) Use of Property.--The Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall use 
the real property transferred pursuant to subsection (a) as an expanded 
ambulatory care center, a nursing home complex, and a facility for 
related medical purposes.
    (d) Legal Description of Property.--The exact acreage and legal 
description of the real property to be transferred pursuant to 
subsection (a) shall be determined by a survey that is satisfactory to 
the Secretary of the Navy. The Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall bear 
the cost of such survey.
    (e) Time for Transfer.--The transfer of real property required by 
this section shall occur on a date agreed upon by the Secretary of the 
Navy and the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, but not later than one 
month after the date on which the Secretary of the Navy closes the 
Orlando Naval Hospital.
