 To abolish the National Board for the Promotion of Rifle Practice and 
 to eliminate the promotion of civilian marksmanship by the Department 
                              of Defense.

 Mrs. Maloney introduced the following bill; which was referred to the 
                      Committee on Armed Services

                                 A BILL


 
 To abolish the National Board for the Promotion of Rifle Practice and 
 to eliminate the promotion of civilian marksmanship by the Department 
                              of Defense.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. ABOLISHMENT OF BOARD.

    The National Board for the Promotion of Rifle Practice is hereby 
abolished.

SEC. 2. ELIMINATION OF PROMOTION OF CIVILIAN MARKSMANSHIP.

    Sections 4307, 4308, 4309, 4310, 4311, 4312, and 4313 of title 10, 
United States Code, are hereby repealed.

SEC. 3. EFFECTIVE DATE.

    This Act, and the amendments made by this Act, shall take effect 90 
days after the date of the enactment of this Act.
