Calls on the President, the Secretary of State, and other representatives of the U.S. Government to take the opportunity presented by the scheduled chairing and hosting by the United States of the ministerial meeting of the organization in Seattle, Washington, on November 17 through 19, 1993, to reaffirm the U.S. commitment to make it an effective regional economic organization that reduces barriers to increased intra-regional trade through the harmonization of standards, trade, and investment policies.
