H.R. 2585--A bill to amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to 
    increase the excise taxes on smokeless tobacco to an amount 
    equivalent to the tax on cigarettes and to use the resulting 
    revenues to fund a trust fund for programs to reduce the use of 
    smokeless tobacco; to the Committees on Ways and Means; Commerce, 
    for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each 
    case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the 
    jurisdiction of the committee concerned.
