 To direct the Secretary of Transportation to prohibit the commercial 
operation of supersonic transport category aircraft that do not comply 
                       with stage 3 noise levels.

  Mr. Weiner introduced the following bill; which was referred to the 
             Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure

                                 A BILL


 
 To direct the Secretary of Transportation to prohibit the commercial 
operation of supersonic transport category aircraft that do not comply 
                       with stage 3 noise levels.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. COMMERCIAL OPERATION OF SUPERSONIC TRANSPORT CATEGORY 
              AIRCRAFT.

    Beginning 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, the 
Secretary of Transportation shall prohibit the commercial operation of 
a civil supersonic transport category aircraft to or from an airport in 
the United States unless the Secretary finds that the aircraft complies 
with stage 3 noise levels.
