Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, SECTION 1. POSTHUMOUS ADVANCEMENT OF ADMIRAL RAYMOND AMES SPRUANCE TO FLEET ADMIRAL OF THE UNITED STATES NAVY. (a) Advancement.--The President is authorized and requested to posthumously advance the late Admiral Raymond Ames Spruance, United States Navy, retired, to the grade of Fleet Admiral of the United States Navy on the retired list of the Navy. (b) Additional Benefits Not to Accrue.--No increase in compensation or benefits based on the service of Raymond Ames Spruance in the Navy shall result from the posthumous advancement authorized and requested under subsection (a). <all>
