Recognizes the independence of the State of Israel as a significant event in providing refuge and a national homeland for the Jewish people, and extends warm congratulations to the people of Israel as they celebrate the 58th anniversary of Israel's independence.

Commends the bipartisan commitment of all U.S. administrations and Congresses since 1948 that stood by Israel and worked for its security and well-being.

Congratulates the United States and Israel for strengthening bilateral relations in the fields of defense, diplomacy, and homeland security and encourages both nations to continue their cooperation in resolving future mutual challenges.
