Ms. Meng introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure


A BILL

To protect consumer privacy during the development and use of autonomous vehicle technologies.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the “Autonomous Vehicle Privacy Protection Act of 2015”.

SEC. 2. GAO report.

The Comptroller General of the United States shall make available to the public a report that assesses the organizational readiness of the Department of Transportation to address autonomous vehicle technology challenges, including consumer privacy protections.
