This bill requires each federal agency and department to report annually to Congress on the following:
- the number of individuals who were denied a security clearance due to an affiliation with a hate group, and
- the number of individuals who received a security clearance despite an affiliation with a hate group.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation must establish and maintain a list of hate groups (i.e., organizations that have beliefs or practices that attack or malign a group of people based on immutable characteristics, including race, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, and gender identity).
