                  ORDERS FOR TUESDAY, JANUARY 23, 1996

  Mr. DOLE. I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its 
business today, it stand in recess until the hour of 2:30 p.m. on 
Tuesday, January 23, 1996; that following the prayer, the Journal of 
proceedings be deemed approved to date, the time for the two leaders be 
reserved for their use later in the day, and there then be a period for 
morning business until the hour of 3:30 p.m, with Senators permitted to 
speak for up to 10 minutes each.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
  Mr. DOLE. I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its 
business tomorrow it stand in recess until the hour of 8:40 p.m, on 
Tuesday, at which time the Senate will proceed as a body to the Hall of 
the House of Representatives to hear an address by the President 
regarding the state of the Union.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
