OPPOSITION TO THE KOREA, COLOMBIA, AND PANAMA TRADE AGREEMENTS

(Ms. FUDGE asked and was given permission to address the House for 1
minute and to revise and extend her remarks.)
Ms. FUDGE. Madam Speaker, I rise today to address the need to keep
good-paying jobs in America. I voted ``no'' on the trade agreements
passed in this House last night, but in that same vote I voted ``yes''
for American jobs, I voted ``yes'' for jobs on American soil, I voted
``yes'' for human rights and ``yes'' for labor protections.
The trade agreements will cost us jobs at a time when we should be
investing in America, and they will lead to further decline of the
middle class. These agreements are toxic for Ohioans who work in
manufacturing and other sectors.
The U.S.-Korea trade agreement alone will cost almost 160,000 jobs in
this country in the first 7 years. Stand with me for the middle class
and against shipping jobs overseas.
