                           EXECUTIVE SESSION


                           EXECUTIVE CALENDAR

  Mr. KERRY. Madam President, I ask unanimous consent that the Senate 
proceed to executive session to consider the following nomination: 
Calendar No. 287; that the nomination be confirmed, the motion to 
reconsider be made and laid upon the table, with no intervening action 
or debate, and that no further motions be in order to the nomination; 
that any related statements be printed in the Record; that the 
President be immediately notified of the Senate's action and the Senate 
then resume legislative session.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
  The nomination considered and confirmed is as follows:

       Sung Y. Kim, of California, a Career Member of the Senior 
     Foreign Service, Class of Counselor, to be Ambassador
