                        MESSAGE FROM THE SENATE

  A message from the Senate by Ms. Curtis, one of its clerks, announced 
that the Senate has passed without amendment a bill of the House of the 
following title:

       H.R. 258. An act to amend title 18, United States Code, 
     with respect to fraudulent representations about having 
     received military decorations or medals.

  The message also announced that pursuant to Public Law 94-304, as 
amended by Public Law 99-7, the Chair, on behalf of the Vice President, 
appoints the following Senator as a member of the Commission on 
Security and Cooperation in Europe (Helsinki) during the One Hundred 
Thirteenth Congress:
  The Senator from Arkansas (Mr. Boozman).
