Mr. JOHNSON of Georgia changed his vote from ``nay'' to ``yea.''
So (two-thirds being in the affirmative) the rules were suspended and
the resolution, as amended, was agreed to.
The result of the vote was announced as above recorded.
The title of the resolution was amended so as to read: ``Expressing
the sense of the House of Representatives that atrocities committed
against the Rohingya by the Burmese military and security forces since
August 2017 constitute crimes against humanity and genocide and calling
on the Government of Burma to release Burmese journalists Wa Lone and
Kyaw Soe Oo sentenced to seven years imprisonment after investigating
attacks against civilians by the Burmese military and security forces,
and for other purposes.''.
A motion to reconsider was laid on the table
