                                 PRAYER

Pastor Zack Randles, Waterfront Church, Washington, D.C., offered the
following prayer:
Lord, in a complicated world it is comforting to know that we can
come to You for answers. Shine bright Your light of wisdom and
direction for our Members of Congress and their staff teams today. The
job of governing is in no way easy or simple, but You have gifted them
for this moment and You walk beside them come what may. It is an
amazing gift to know we are not alone in these days. Thank You, Lord,
that we have You and that You have given us one another as we walk this
path. May we strive to be encouraging, useful, and kind today. I pray
this in the mighty name of Jesus.
  Amen.
