                        MESSAGES FROM THE HOUSE

  At 10:09 a.m., a message from the House of Representatives, delivered 
by Mr. Novotny, one of its reading clerks, announced that the House has 
passed the following bill, in which it requests the concurrence of the 
Senate:

       H.R. 7. An act to amend the Fair Labor Standards Act of 
     1938 to provide more effective remedies to victims of 
     discrimination in the payment of wages on the basis of sex, 
     and for other purposes.
                                  ____

  At 1:25 p.m., a message from the House of Representatives, delivered 
by Mr. Cole, one of its reading clerks, announced that the House has 
passed the following bill, without amendment:

       S. 863. An act to amend title 38, United States Code, to 
     clarify the grade and pay of podiatrists of the Department of 
     Veterans Affairs.

  The message also announced that pursuant to Section 1652(b) of the 
John S. McCain National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2019, 
the Minority Leader appoints the following Member of the House of 
Representatives to the Cyberspace Solarium Commission: Mr. Gallagher of 
Wisconsin.
