RECOGNIZING THE RICH HISTORY, HERITAGE, AND STRATEGIC IMPORTANCE OF THE 
                    REPUBLIC OF THE MARSHALL ISLANDS

  Mr. McCONNELL. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the Energy 
and Natural Resources Committee be discharged from further 
consideration and the Senate now proceed to S. Con. Res. 3.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will report the concurrent 
resolution by title.
  The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows:

       A concurrent resolution (S. Con. Res. 3) recognizing the 
     rich history, heritage, and strategic importance of the 
     Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Marshallese 
     population residing in the United States.

  There being no objection, the committee was discharged and the Senate 
proceeded to consider the concurrent resolution.
  Mr. McCONNELL. Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that the 
resolution be agreed to, the preamble be agreed to, and the motions to 
reconsider be considered made and laid upon the table.
  The PRESIDING OFFICER. Without objection, it is so ordered.
  The concurrent resolution (S. Con. Res. 3) was agreed to.
  The preamble was agreed to.
