CONGRATULATING THE QUAD CITIES VET CENTER ON 40 YEARS OF SERVICE

                                 ______

                           HON. CHERI BUSTOS

                              of illinois

                    in the house of representatives

                         Tuesday, June 18, 2019

Mrs. BUSTOS. Madam Speaker, I rise today to recognize the Quad Cities
Vet Center on 40 years of assisting the veterans of this community. As
a member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Military
Construction and Veterans Affairs, I'm committed to serving the men and
women who've worn our country's uniform--making sure they have the
resources they deserve and have earned.
The Quad Cities Vet Center was established in 1979 as a response to
the lack of services that veterans received after the Vietnam War.
Today, the center provides a wide range of social and psychological
services, such as individual, group, marriage and family counseling. I
am proud to represent a community that provides such essential services
to veterans and their families, and I look forward to the continuation
of their program. I join the Quad Cities community to celebrate this
milestone and commend them on all of their efforts to improve the lives
of those who have served our nation.
It is because of philanthropic services such as this that I am
especially proud to serve Illinois' 17th Congressional District. Madam
Speaker, I would like to again formally congratulate the Quad Cities
Vet Center on their 40th Anniversary and all that they do to enrich our
community.

                          ____________________
