                              APPOINTMENTS

  The PRESIDING OFFICER. The Chair, on behalf of the Vice President, 
pursuant to 14 U.S.C. 194(a), as amended by Public Law 101-595, and 
upon the recommendation of the Democratic Leader, appoints the 
following Senators to the Board of Visitors of the U.S. Coast Guard 
Academy: The Senator from Washington (Ms. Cantwell), Committee on 
Commerce, Science, and Transportation; and the Senator from Connecticut 
(Mr. Blumenthal), At Large.
