                    in the house of representatives

                        Thursday, July 25, 2019

Mr. GUTHRIE. Madam Speaker, I rise today to recognize the 206th
Engineer Battalion of the Kentucky National Guard, which is deploying
to assist the U.S. Central Command Area of Operations.
While I am sorry I cannot be with them at today's deployment
ceremony, I express my profound gratitude to them for embarking on this
mission to serve the United States of America. We are blessed to live
in the greatest country in the world. America is truly the land of the
free and the home of the brave--all because of men and women like them
who have answered the call to serve. The entire Commonwealth of
Kentucky is proud of them and behind them during this mission. I join
everyone in Owensboro in praying for their safety, and I look forward
to welcoming them home.
