                            PETITIONS, ETC.

  Under clause 3 of rule XII, petitions and papers were laid on the 
clerk's desk and referred as follows:

       39. The SPEAKER presented a petition of the City of Miami 
     Commission, relative to Resolution No. R-19-0281, urging the 
     United States Citizenship and Immigration Services to 
     reevaluate and grant Ramon Saul Sanchez's application for 
     permanent resident status; to the Committee on the Judiciary.
       40. Also, a petition of House of Representatives of the 
     Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas Islands, relative to 
     House Joint Resolution 21-4, HD2, To provide mutual consent 
     to amend Article III, Section 303 of the Covenant to 
     Establish a Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands in 
     Political Union with the United States of America to limit 
     birth tourism in the CNMI; jointly to the Committees on 
     Natural Resources and the Judiciary.
