                        MESSAGES FROM THE HOUSE

  At 10:20 a.m., a message from the House of Representatives, delivered 
by Mrs. Cole, one of its reading clerks, announced that the House has 
passed the following bills, in which it requests the concurrence of the 
Senate:

       H.R. 205. An act to amend the Gulf of Mexico Energy 
     Security Act of 2006 to permanently extend the moratorium on 
     leasing in certain areas of the Gulf of Mexico.
       H.R. 1941. An act to amend the Outer Continental Shelf 
     Lands Act to prohibit the Secretary of the Interior including 
     in any leasing program certain planning areas, and for other 
     purposes.

  At 12:55 p.m., a message from the House of Representatives, delivered 
by Mr. Novotny, one of its reading clerks, announced that the House has 
passed the following bill, in which it requests the concurrence of the 
Senate:

       H.R. 1146. An act to amend Public Law 115-97 (commonly 
     known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act) to repeal the Arctic 
     National Wildlife Refuge oil and gas program, and for other 
     purposes.

  At 2:35 p.m., a message from the House of Representatives, delivered 
by Mrs. Cole, one of its reading clerks, announced that the Clerk of 
the House be directed to return to the Senate the bill (S. 1790) to 
authorize appropriations for fiscal year 2020 for military activities 
of the Department of Defense, for military construction, and for 
defense activities of the Department of Energy, to prescribe military 
personnel strengths for such fiscal year, and for other purposes, in 
compliance with a request of the Senate for the return thereof.
