Mr. President, I ask unanimous consent that when the Senate completes its business today, it adjourn to then convene for pro forma sessions only, with no business being conducted, on the following dates and times, and that following each pro forma session, the Senate adjourn until the next pro forma session: Friday, September 27, at 11:40 a.m.; Tuesday, October 1, at 12 noon; Friday, October 4, at 4:30 p.m.; Tuesday, October 8, at 12 noon; and Friday, October 11, at 2:15 p.m. I further ask unanimous consent that when the Senate adjourns on Friday, October 11, it next convene at 3 p.m., Tuesday, October 15; that following the prayer and pledge, the morning hour be deemed expired, the Journal of proceedings be approved to date, the time for the two leaders be reserved for their use later in the day, morning business be closed, and the Senate proceed to executive session and resume consideration of the Barrett nomination; finally, that notwithstanding the provisions of rule XXII, the cloture motions filed during today's session ripen at 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, October 15.
