     MEASURES READ THE FIRST TIME--S. 28, H.R. 21, AND H.J. RES. 1

Mr. McCONNELL. Mr. President, I understand that there are three bills
at the desk, and I ask for their first reading.

[[Page S32]]

The PRESIDING OFFICER. The clerk will read the titles of the bills
for the first time.
The senior assistant legislative clerk read as follows:
A bill (S. 28) to reauthorize the United States-Jordan Defense
Cooperation Act of 2015, and for other purposes.
A bill (H.R. 21) making appropriations for the fiscal year ending
September 30, 2019, and for other purposes.
A joint resolution (H.J. Res. 1) making further continuing
appropriations for the Department of Homeland Security for fiscal year
2019, and for other purposes.
Mr. McCONNELL. Mr. President, I now ask for a second reading, and I
object to my own request, all en bloc.
The PRESIDING OFFICER. The objection is heard.
The bills will be read for the second time on the next legislative
day.
