                       Tuesday, November 5, 2019

Mr. GUTHRIE. Madam Speaker, I rise today to honor the life and
service of Michael Barton Wilson of Glasgow, Kentucky.
Mr. Wilson served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and was
part of the initial crew on the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. During his
tour of duty in the Navy, Mr. Wilson was also stationed at Midway
Island, and he later spearheaded a reunion of Midway Island residents
from across the country in his retirement. He also served as the
Commander of DAV Chapter 20 in Barren County, Kentucky, and he often
helped his fellow veterans get the care they deserved.
I join with Mr. Wilson's family and the Barren County community in
remembering his selfless dedication to serving his country, his fellow
veterans, and anyone else in need
